Lifelong Making Your Art
“Do not judge me by my successes, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again.”
- By Nelson Mandela,
By making our art we also span age differences. People of all different ages can connect through the making of their art.
My Mother made her art all her life. In that, she was my hero. She had a strong faith in God, and she discovered early on in her life that God had made her to be an Artist. That is what I desire to do as well; make my art all my life. As long as I have creativity that is what I will do. And that is what my mother did into her 90’s.
At age 90, she taught my girlfriend how to do the mylar technique of photography that she had developed a several years before. We spent the day with her showing us each step. (The steps are posted here.)
